AB 2001 – Political Reform Act of 1974

AB 2001 would clarify that the requirement for a local government agency to post campaign finance disclosure filings online within 72 hours of the filing deadline also applies to filings received via email or fax, and that filings received post-deadline must also be posted online within 72 hours.

Also, this bill would make other technical and clarifying changes to the Political Reform Act (PRA).

“AB 2001 would ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the Political Reform Act, creating a clearer and more effective regulatory framework. The bill is also crucial to enhance public transparency in local elections by ensuring timely and accurate online posting of filings.” -Assemblyman James Gallagher
