Gallagher Statement on LAO Budget Outlook

SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement in response to the Legislative Analyst’s Office report on the state’s fiscal outlook, which projects a $2 billion defict for the upcoming fiscal year, with shortfalls growing dramatically until at least 2029:

California is the highest-tax state in the country, yet we are still facing multi-billion-dollar deficits well into the future. Democrats got us into this mess and I have no confidence in their ability to fix things without inflicting real pain on Californians.”
