“The governor hasn’t come through for people who are very concerned about their safety and security”
Looks like Governor Newsom has failed to keep yet another promise. Following the October 7 terror attack on Israel, Newsom promised to provide money for churches, synagogues and mosques to bolster security – but months later, not one penny has gone out the door. Newsom’s office claims the money will go out this week, but that’s little consolation for the Californians who have been waiting for funding since December.
This is just the latest example of the governor making a splashy announcement, then failing to deliver. From his missing tiny homes to his lies about wildfire prevention, Newsom will say one thing to the cameras, then vanish when people demand results.
This latest bungled program from Newsom is leaving innocent people vulnerable to violence. Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher slammed the Newsom administration’s delays, telling KCRA “The governor hasn’t come through for people who are very concerned about their safety and security.”
Someone should tell Newsom there’s more to the job than press conferences – you actually have to follow through on those big promises.
