SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement on the announcement by Assemblyman Devon Mathis (R-Porterville) that he will retire from the California State Assembly at the end of his current term.
“I want to thank Assemblyman Mathis for his dedicated service to the people of California and the Central Valley. Throughout his time in the Assembly, Devon has been a tireless advocate for his constituents and a valued member of our caucus. He has worked hard to bring common sense solutions to the challenges facing our state, and has been a strong voice for veterans, Californians with disabilities, farmers and more.
