TOMORROW: Officials to Recognize 5-Year Anniversary of the Camp Fire

Coalition Gathers at the State Capitol to Share Recovery Status & Offer Appreciation

SACRAMENTO – Elected officials, non-profit representatives and others will gather on the steps of the State Capitol on Thursday to reflect on the 5-year anniversary of the 2018 Camp Fire. Speakers at the event will provide an overview of the recovery efforts and discuss remaining challenges in Butte County and the Town of Paradise. The coalition will also recognize individuals who played a key role in the recovery process. 

The Camp Fire started on Thursday, November 8, 2018. It was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history.
