SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) released the following statement on Newsom’s Inflation Relief Package:
“Newsom specializes in grand announcements and flashy sounding proposals, but he rarely follows through with effective solutions that actually help California families.
“Democrat-rule has made this state unaffordable and has driven inflation higher. With a $68 billion budget surplus, the Governor should be doing more to lower costs. Groceries, housing and energy prices are sky-high now, but his plan won’t provide relief until late summer.
“As Californians struggle to fill their tank and put food on the table, Democrats fail to provide any real solutions to cut costs. Californians are tired of waiting – they need help now.”
